Aesthetic Enhancements

Cosmetic Bonding |

Cosmetic bonding is the process of filling or fixing the teeth with a tooth colored material to create a beautiful, natural smile. These fillings are made of a durable composite hybrid material that has a very high compressive strength, as well as polishibility. Even if you have undergone whitening, we can easily "customize" your shade. You don't need to have black or grey back teeth any more. The amalgam, or silver can be replaced with composite.

Veneers |

Veneers (by Lumineers™) are "contact lens thin" porcelain facings which are bonded onto your natural teeth. Often used to change the color, shape, alignment or spacing of a smile, they are a very conservative choice over porcelain crowns. Veneers require the dentist to remove very little of the tooth itself. They last for decades, won't change color or texture over time, and are actually three times stronger than non-veneered teeth. You'd be surprised how many beautiful smiles in your workplace or neighborhood were created with the help of porcelain veneers!

Crowns |

Crowns are a natural looking, durable treatment for teeth with cracks, large cavities or root canals. If your goal is to remove all posterior silver fillings, often a crown is necessary when the filling is more than two thirds of the width of the tooth. This will guarantee being able to chew harder foods without the risk of breaking a molar. Research has proven that an average adult generates almost 2000 PSI (pounds per square inch) in a vertical direction when chewing! A porcelain fused to precious metal can withstand these forces quite well.

Whitening |

Used to correct discoloration of the teeth, whitening removes the brown and yellow staining. The term "teeth whitening" can refer to a number of techniques to improve the brightness of your teeth. Some of these techniques include custom fabricated trays with whitening gel done at home and one hour in-office whitening.

Implants

Implants are a free-standing option for replacing teeth. An implant is an artificial root made of titanium placed where permanent/fixed teeth are needed. The implant is placed by the specialist and after a healing period a natural appearing and functioning crown is attached to it. Implants have an extremely high success rate and last a very long time.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide or "laughing gas," is used for its calming effect. A colorless, almost odorless gas Nitrous Oxide is combined with oxygen, then administered to you through a small mask that covers your nose. It can help to relax you, ease your fear and make you feel more comfortable during your dental treatment.

Nitrous oxide also helps increase your tolerance for lengthy dental procedures, and while it doesn't make any part of your mouth numb, it can decrease your perception of discomfort. There are a few situations where we can't use nitrous oxide, such as if you are pregnant or have an inner ear infection.
